A Glimpse into the Printmaking Process
I often find the subject matter or idea will let me know how it wants to be expressed, my job is to listen.
I'm both a painter and a printmaker. Each requires it's own tools and unique approach to mark-making and process. I find switching back and forth between the two, keeps my studio practice fresh.
This short video provides a glimpse into the the printmaking process showing the etching plate 'Cape Terrain', being inked, printed and editioned. Cape Terrain is part of the Coastal Portfolio.
I find it such a meditative, romantic and quite magical process, I hope it speaks to you too.
