AiR opens in Westerly
How many artists does it take to hammer in a nail? In this instance two!
Annie Wildey and Michael Fanelli are bringing something fresh to the arts community in Westerly with their new studio gallery – AiR at 19-B Railroad Avenue. A painter, and a photographer, they are making this special spot, their new creative home.
AiR is an acronym for ‘artists in residence’ and as such Annie and Michael intend to use this space as a working studio, and gallery to showcase their fine art. Both artists draw inspiration from nature and find the local landscape of the RI and CT coast a rich source of creativity.
“It seemed like the perfect spot for a boutique studio gallery, located directly opposite the train station home to ACGOW. We loved that it had a separate room for us both, and a main room that could be a gallery with street access, it’s own entrance and a beautiful big window. We couldn’t be more excited to be new members of the community.”
