When work leaves the studio, there is an emotional as well as a the physical separation that happens. As a result I’m always a little surprised to see it again hanging in the gallery. Especially when a gallery does such a wonderful job of hanging a show. Shari @coastalcontemporarygallery pays such attention to detail that every sightline is considered.

I love this sightline shown below, capturing a view of several smaller works in the show.

Sunlit Seas 48x60" below is a painting that captures the fluidity of the sea, as the waves begin to form and rise. Beads of sunlight glisten on the surface and the surf begins to form as it get closer to shore.
